I’ve decided to run for a TM member position because I think it’s important to participate in the place you call home. I think that everyone has a unique perspective and bringing that experience to the discussions, planning and decision making gets all of us to a better place. Differences of opinion aren’t bad things. Find common ground, respect one another, and work toward solutions that are best for all. That’s my philosophy and approach. I’m happy to serve if elected.

I'm proud to be a Town Meeting member & member of the Board of Health. I believe that being an elected member of Town Meeting is not only a commitment to reading the Warrants and participating in the meetings. It takes being aware of the issues of concern for residents and businesses AND being an active participant and observer in Town governance and operations all year round. Reading resident since 2001 & I've worked with local, regional & state govt for 20 years. Honored to ask for your vote!

My family has roots in Reading going back to the early 1800's. I grew up in Reading, and raised my children here. Now that I'm retired, after working 20 years at Northeastern University, I'm eager to become more involved with this community. My primary areas of interest/expertise are education, the library, and communication, and I'm interested in balancing community growth and improvements with fiscal responsibility.

I am looking to become an elected member of Town Meeting with the desire to make Reading the best it can be for my young family. I hope to be a part of community driven decision making in order to support our local government. I have been involved in community projects that require collaboration and communication and want to bring a fresh perspective to the table. Let's build a stronger, more vibrant community together! I would be grateful for your vote.

I have been an elected member of Town Meeting since 2017. By volunteering I have learned how our local government works and how to advocate for important issues at the town level. I was a founding member of Reading Embraces Diversity (RED) and I am a board member for the Birch Meadow PTO where my daughters attend school. It is important to me to set an example of civic engagement for them. I am a good listener, passionate about our community and would love to continue to represent our precinct.

I’ve lived in Reading for 37 years and have volunteered for most of them, i.e. School Bldg. Committee, Charter Review Committee, Bylaw Committee, TMM since 1993. Town Meeting is changing, however. I am concerned about the factionalism that is creeping into its deliberations. I have always regarded all TMM’s (not just Pct. 7's) as my neighbors, not as opponents and will continue to do so if re-elected. Reading is still too small a town to have its local government splintered by ideologues.

I have lived in Reading for nearly 40 years, and I have been a Town Meeting Member for 10+ years. I have served on a Master Plan Advisory Committee, on a Charter Review Committee, and as an associate member of the Human Relations Advisory Committee. I care about the residents, the Town, and the wider community. I care about public education, public health, and human services, etc. I try to stay informed about town issues, and I appreciate constituent input. I would appreciate your vote.
